Aurora Integrity does not provide individual case support for personal whistleblowing matters. Our work is educational and advisory — we work with organisations, not individuals in live situations. If you need help, the organisations below are the right starting point.
Our recommended first contact
| WhistleblowersUK |
Peer support, advocacy and campaigning for law reform — led by people who have been through the whistleblowing experience themselves. |
UK advice and confidential support
| Protect |
Free, confidential advice line for workers considering blowing the whistle or already facing retaliation. Part-funded by government. |
| ACAS |
Workplace rights guidance, early conciliation support and employment dispute advice. Government-funded. |
| Citizens Advice |
Free, impartial advice on employment rights, legal options and welfare support. Government-funded. Local branches across the UK. |
Free legal representation
| Advocate |
Pro bono charity of the Bar, supported by the Bar Council. Finds free barristers for people who cannot get legal aid and cannot afford to pay. Covers England and Wales. Helps with specific tasks rather than taking on a whole case — apply at least three weeks before a hearing or deadline. |
| Law Centres Network |
Law Centres provide free, independent legal advice and representation, with a focus on people who would otherwise struggle to access justice. Coverage varies — use the finder on their website to locate your nearest centre. Many can take on employment and discrimination cases more fully than other pro bono services. |
| Free Representation Unit |
Free legal representation at employment tribunals for those who cannot afford a lawyer. Note: must be referred through an agency such as Citizens Advice or a Law Centre. Covers London and South East England only. |
Supported self-representation (paid)
| Valla |
A UK platform for people representing themselves at employment tribunal. Specialises in whistleblowing, discrimination and bullying cases. Provides tools, templates, document checking and coaching from legal professionals on a pay-as-you-go basis — significantly cheaper than a solicitor. Not free, but much more affordable than full legal representation. |
Technology sector and international
| Psst... |
Supports whistleblowers in the technology sector. Secure, confidential reporting tool designed for tech workers. |
| The Signals Network |
International organisation supporting whistleblowers in technology and media. Connects people with journalists and legal support. |
This list is reviewed periodically. If you are aware of an organisation that should be included, please let us know.
